· Which room should I prioritize for equipping my home?
The bedroom is the room where we spend the most time. It is therefore the room where we breathe the air in our home for the longest period. It is therefore the priority room to equip before the living room or your office. If you work from home, this prioritization may change.
· Where should I place my purifier?
In the bedroom, try to install it as close as possible to your headboard (bedside lamp, curtain rod, window, floor lamp, etc.). In other rooms, hang it on furniture, curtain rods, floor lamps, but avoid placing it above cooking hobs, radiators, and frequently moving doors.

· How can the "passive" purifier work without a fan?
Air moves in our homes, and here's the proof: when we cook, we can smell it in every room! Yet, we haven't placed a fan in front of the kitchen door... Several phenomena promote air circulation: opening windows, VMC (controlled mechanical ventilation), temperature differences between rooms, ventilation (air conditioning, for example)...
· Does this purifier work against pollen?
To neutralize pollen, a fan with a HEPA filter is necessary. Our purifiers capture chemical pollution and gases that pass through filters. Therefore, they will not be effective against pollen.
· What pollutants are present in my home? Where do they come from?
Air pollutants are numerous and do not all pose the same health risk.
The main gaseous pollutants present in our homes are formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds (benzene, toluene, aldehydes, etc.), and carbon monoxide.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are gaseous compounds, invisible and very common in indoor air.
The Indoor Air Quality Observatory has classified chemical pollutants according to their short and medium-term toxicity. The criteria considered are acute risk, chronic risk, and frequency of detection inside homes. www.oqai.fr
The origins of these substances are varied. The main sources of chemical pollutants are listed in the table below:

· What are the right actions to reduce pollution in my home?
1. Ventilate
Ventilating for 5 to 10 minutes a day, all year round, helps to renew indoor air and reduce the concentration of pollutants in your home.
Outdoor and indoor air are not polluted in the same way:
o Some pollutants are only present indoors.
o Some are present both indoors and outdoors, but in different concentrations, up to 15 times higher indoors than outdoors.
Ventilation helps to dilute pollution, but not to eliminate it.
2. Ventilation
Ventilation allows for air renewal by ensuring free and permanent circulation.
It can be:
• natural: air circulates in the dwelling through "fresh" air inlets and "polluted" air outlets (vents and grilles),
• mechanical: VMC (controlled mechanical ventilation) is an electrical system for automatic and continuous air renewal.
3. Acting on pollution sources

ü Close containers to prevent evaporation

ü Limit the number of cleaning products used and prioritize simple products: white vinegar, baking soda, Marseille soap, bleach.

Ø Purify the air with an air purifier
Today, effective technical solutions exist to improve air quality. Airpurlabs uses the phenomenon of adsorption to trap VOCs and formaldehyde. Adsorption offers significant advantages:
- There is no re-emission of pollutants. Polluting substances are not broken down but captured, so Airpurlabs does not form harmful degradation by-products.
- There is no filter to change and clean regularly. Airpurlabs requires no special maintenance; you just hang it up.
- Airpurlabs was tested by the independent French laboratory FCBA, which measured a 44% decrease in formaldehyde concentration in a closed space with continuously circulating polluted air. For VOCs, a 30% decrease was measured.
· How does the Airpurlabs air purifier work?
Airpurlabs requires no electrical connection or power source. The active compounds inside the wool module interact with ambient air and capture chemical pollutants. VOCs and formaldehyde are permanently trapped. Airpurlabs does not re-emit pollutants.
Airpurlabs uses a patented adsorption air purification process, awarded in 2016 at the Concours Lépine in Paris.
Airpurlabs is composed of two active depolluting agents capable of fixing VOCs and formaldehyde:
1. Activated charcoal. It was chosen for its large specific surface area of 1000 m2/g and its high quality. It permanently captures VOCs in its pores.
2. Acetoacetamide, an organic active substance. It fixes formaldehyde.

· How to install Airpurlabs?
Airpurlabs is very easy to install; simply hang it or place it. For example, attach it with a nail, a hook, or hang it from a window handle.
Tip: Thanks to its long ribbon, Airpurlabs can be nicely wrapped around a bar (wardrobe, curtain rod, etc.).

To get the most out of Airpurlabs:
o Place it in a well-ventilated area to benefit from natural convection, next to a window for example.
o Place it in dry areas, which promote the functioning of active depolluting agents.
· What is the lifespan of Airpurlabs?
Considering the average concentration of chemical pollutants in our homes, Airpurlabs has a lifespan of up to 2 years, depending on the room volume and the model installed. The large 180g model for living rooms and bedrooms is calibrated for a 12m2 room; it can be used up to 24m2 (in which case its lifespan will be up to 1 year). The medium 60g model for dressing rooms, offices, and cribs (pyramid or pad) is calibrated for a 4m2 room; it can be used up to 8m2 (in which case its lifespan will be up to 1 year). When used to purify the air breathed by a baby, the purifier must be kept away from the baby to prevent them from handling it.
In case of renovation work such as painting, a new kitchen, or a dressing room, it is advisable to change it after one year.
· How do I know when my purifier is saturated?
Asthmatics and chemically sensitive individuals do not need indicators; when they feel that the purifier's effect is no longer present, they know it's time to change it. For non-sensitive individuals, using a purifier is a preventative measure. You cannot know when it is at the end of its life. Therefore, you should adhere to the lifespan indicated on the product packaging. A tip: when you change it after two years, for example, nothing prevents you from leaving the old one for 6 months to 1 year longer to ensure it is completely saturated.
· I want to buy one to try?
If you are an asthmatic sensitive to chemical pollution, or chemically sensitive, you will immediately see the effect.
ð In this case, the effect is considered "curative."
However, if you are not sensitive to chemical pollution, you breathe it in without realizing it because it is painless for you, so you will not see the difference.

· What to do with my Airpurlabs module when it reaches the end of its life?
